Job role: Full Time Retail Apprenticeship
Salary: More than National Apprentice Rate
Hours: 30 per week
Location: Hunstanton, Norfolk, PE36
Interested in Chocolate? Maldon Chocolates is an established retailer of handmade chocolates most which are made on the premises.
The role will include learning about all aspects of the retail business, with an emphasis on customer service. Other duties include:
- arranging stock and shop presentation
- assisting customers with information
- processing payments using the point-of-sale terminal
- potentially learning about, where appropriate, the business’ online presence – including the website and some marketing
- packing and dealing with incoming as well as outgoing and online orders
- performing cleaning and other end-of-day tasks
- gaining an understanding of stock and other items to provide advice to customers, where needed
- staying up to date and involved with the production of chocolate. Keeping the shop and processing areas clean and tidy.
The ideal candidate will be polite and helpful, attentive and willing to learn, with good numeracy skills and be friendly and patient.
The working week comprises 30 hours across variable days (4 or 5 days per week).
As an apprentice you will be assessed, and throughout a 14-month course of work with some outside agency training, will gain experience and qualifications, whilst being paid, to lead to a bright future career. Pay review at 6 months and at the end of the apprenticeship.
